Ted Cruz and Donald Trump had some epic battles during the primary season, so it is no surprise he chimed in immediately after the debate had ended last night.
Most people probably expected Cruz to remain silent, but Cruz actually applauded Trump’s performance after the debate and once again warned America how dangerous a Clinton presidency will be to the America real patriots know and love…
Tonight, a clear contrast was drawn between the two nominees. Tonight, Hillary Clinton made it clearer than ever that if elected President, our future will continue on the same path that is hurting millions of Americans.
If Clinton is elected, we know that the havoc Obamacare is wreaking on American families, on small businesses, and on our healthcare system will continue. We know that President Obama’s relentless efforts to crush the oil and gas industry and to wage war on coal will continue. We know that the Obama administration’s willful blindness to radical Islamic terrorism and the influx of unvetted refugees from nations infiltrated by terrorists will continue. We know that President Obama’s lawless executive amnesty will continue and even expand.
If Clinton is elected, we know that a liberal justice will be named to fill Scalia’s seat and we will lose the Supreme Court for a generation. With that, we know for a certainty that our right to keep and bear arms, our religious liberty and federalism are in danger.
Tonight we received insight into what a Hillary Clinton presidency would look like for Americans. We know that her policies would kill jobs, reduce wages, and continue the downward spiral our country has endured under President Obama.
Tonight, Donald Trump had his strongest debate performance of the election cycle. He drew strong contrasts with Hillary on taxes, regulations, law and order, and the disastrous Iran deal.
Rather than Hillary‘s America, we need to take a different path. A path that would begin to restore our country from the damage it has suffered the last eight years. We need to unite to defend freedom and restore the Constitution. And Hillary Clinton made absolutely clear tonight she would not do so.
After having stood on the stage with Trump, Cruz said this was Trump’s strongest performance yet, and I agree.
It was far from perfect, but this debate was a far cry from some of the circus performances we saw during the GOP debates.
Having said that, Trump still needs to follow through on his preparation and focus.
At times last night, he bit when Hillary put out a carrot and he needs to resist that temptation if he wants to make a better impression on Americans.
He also allowed Hillary to land a few blows where he could have countered and really put her out of her misery.
The birther issue is a perfect example.
Many of the mainstream media outlets claimed this was one of Hillary’s best moments, but it should have been an issue where Trump could truly flip the script and destroy her.
He could have shut her right down with a more effective presentation that she was actually the one that brought the birther issue up in the first place.
While he did bring this to light, he was not nearly forceful enough in making his points.
He had her in his sights on several occasions and let her off the hook… and he cannot do that in the next debate.
Overall, though, I agree with Cruz in that it was his best performance and he is evolving with each encounter.
Round 1 goes to Trump, but it was not a knockout.
When these two square off again, I am expecting Hillary to end up flat on the canvas taking a ten count.
Immediately After the Debate, Ted Cruz Issued THIS Epic Statement – Media STUNNED
Who do you think will become USA president?
Thank you for the vote!
