It seems as if the whole country, or maybe the whole world, is up in arms about President Donald Trump’s executive order barring refugees from seven Muslim-majority nations. Though they may not like it, this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who even vaguely kept up with the presidential race in 2016. President Trump said from the beginning that the protection and financial welfare of the country would be his top priority if elected.

Before you liberals drag out your torches and sharpen your pitchforks, let’s take a look at what happened under President Obama’s guardianship.
Via Young Cons: The discovery in 2009 of two al Qaeda-Iraq terrorists living as refugees in Bowling Green, Kentucky — who later admitted in court that they’d attacked U.S. soldiers in Iraq — prompted the bureau to assign hundreds of specialists to an around-the-clock effort aimed at checking its archive of 100,000 improvised explosive devices collected in the war zones, known as IEDs, for other suspected terrorists’ fingerprints.
FBI Agent Gregory Carl, director of the Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC) told ABC News “We are currently supporting dozens of current counter-terrorism investigations like that.”
House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul commented on the epidemic saying “I wouldn’t be surprised if there were many more[terrorists living as refugees] than that . . . And these are trained terrorists in the art of bombmaking that are inside the United States; and quite frankly, from a homeland security perspective, that really concerns me.”
As a result of these findings, the State Department stopped processing Iraq refugees for six months in 2011, even for many who had heroically helped U.S. forces as interpreters and intelligence assets.
All these, actions that took place while President Obama was presiding over the Executive Branch of government, were justifiable in the pursuit of American safety. These measures are in place to enable the government to keep our country safe. So before you crucify the POTUS, please know that this is his job, and thankfully we have one that plans to do it well.
