Since the entertainment industry is run by shameless liberals, Donald Trump has had a very difficult time convincing A-listers to risk their careers by agreeing to perform at his inauguration.
This week, many were surprised when the marching band of Alabama’s oldest private, historically black liberal arts college confirmed that they had accepted an invitation to perform at Trump’s inauguration. However, it appears that not everyone is happy about this…
Daily Mail reported that Trump’s team just announced that the Talladega College Marching Tornadoes was among 40 groups, including high school bands and military organizations, scheduled to perform in the parade. Since then, Talladega College’s social media sites have exploded with fierce debates about whether or not they should go through with performing at the inauguration.
This came days after the bands at historically black schools like Howard University, which marched in Barack Obama’s 2009 inauguration parade, said they had not applied to perform at this one. Taladega College released a statement on Facebook in which they proudly announced that they had been chosen to perform.
Reaction to this announcement was mixed, to say the least.
It’s sad that these students are being attacked and made to feel guilty for performing at their own president’s inauguration. Regardless of what party each band member is affiliated with, performing at the inauguration of the president of the United States is an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
